Welcome to the Dorking and District Talking Newspaper

Do you have difficulty reading the paper but still want to keep in touch with local affairs in Dorking?   Can we help?

We are a volunteer organisation producing a regular local news and information service in audio format for blind and partially sighted people in Dorking and the surrounding villages, RH4 and RH5 postal areas. We also issue a monthly audio magazine which we call “Dorking Talking”. The service is free.

You can also listen to us by asking Alexa to “Play Dorking Talking Newspaper” or “Play Dorking Talking Magazine” – it’s as easy as that!

Coronavirus

Dorking Talking Newspaper is still here for you but, due to current restrictions, we have had to reduce our service from weekly to monthly.

On the first Thursday of each month, we bring you a summary of the month’s news from The Dorking Advertiser, followed by our magazine, Dorking Talking, offering you advice and information as well as items that are cheering, intriguing, practical or funny.

So stay with us: go to “How to Listen” and click “Listen here
